"Simply Obey" is a prophetic song that the Lord placed on my heart to remind us of the power of following His voice in every area of our lives. Through the song, I reflect on how God desires simple obedience from us, just as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." As I sing, my prayer is that we will all be encouraged to submit to God, knowing that He will direct our paths when we trust and obey.
In this song, I want to capture the peace that comes from surrendering to God's will, knowing that His ways are always higher than ours. 1 Samuel 15:22 says, "To obey is better than sacrifice," and I believe God is calling us to prioritize obedience over anything else we could offer Him. When we lay aside our plans and simply obey, we open ourselves up to the fullness of His purpose and blessings.
Through "Simply Obey," I’m inviting you to join me in declaring, as Jesus did in Luke 22:42, "Not my will, but Yours be done." I believe that when we choose to follow God's voice, even when it’s hard, we step into alignment with His divine plan. My hope is that this prophetic song will stir your heart to trust God more deeply and walk confidently in the path of obedience He has set before you.
